IT'S A MEN'S UNDERWEAR KINDA, FAMILY

One of the most enjoyable and rewarding parts of our business is meeting and dealing with our resellers. In most cases, there is a lot of history involved in the independent stores we visit. Generations of families in a lot of cases that have owned their store for decades, particularly in the regional areas of the country. Quickly we are gathering some momentum with Men’s Underwear resellers throughout Australia. We are already establishing a diverse base of stores that include stand-alone Menswear stores, Surf stores & Men’s Emporiums. Our plan is to service all parts of Australia so that we can all “SHOP LOCAL” for the Best Men’s Underwear in the country.

One of our recent stores “Stewart’s Menswear” is located in the beautiful town of Mullumbimby. Mullumbimby is in the Byron Shire of the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. It promotes itself as "The Biggest Little Town in Australia". The town lies at the foot of Mount Chincogan in the Brunswick Valley about 9 kilometres by road from the coast.

If you haven’t been to Mullumbimby, do yourself a favour and take a visit it’s definitely worth it. If you arrive on a Friday you will get to enjoy the famous Mullumbimby Farmers Market which is situated at the back of the showground, certainly one of our favourites. Enjoy a spot of shopping at the many speciality retailers and local businesses, and discover a bargain at the op shops, antique and collectable shops. If you are into health food shops there are plenty to choose from.

Check out the many murals painted by local artists: Car Park Toilet Block, Laneway South, Laneway North, Mullumbimby Museum shed, Mullumbimby Community Garden, Mullumbimby Rural Co-op, Ray Towers Carpets rear, and Byron Food Hub.

Or simply take a seat and watch the world go by and be entertained by the local colourful characters going about their daily business.

1. How long has your store been around for?

Established in 1929. Owned and operated by 3 generations of the Stewart family.

2. How long have you owned /worked at the (store)?

Gerard worked for 2 generations of the Stewart family for 24 years before we bought the store in 2004. Gerard has clocked up 40 years. 

3. Tell us a fun fact about your town & why people should visit?

Mullumbimby is known as the Biggest little town in Australia. People are surprised at how much it has to offer. 

4. How long have you lived there & why do you love living there?

We were both born in Mullumbimby. We love the lifestyle and we are surrounded by natural beauty......from the beach to the rainforest, right on our doorstep!

5. Why should people come & shop at your store?

Good old fashioned personal service with a smile.

6. What achievement are you most proud of?

Really just being able to stay in business and offer a service to our community. Last year we celebrated the store's 90th birthday. The support we've received from our community following our closure caused by COVID has been overwhelming.......everyone is just so glad we're back 

10. Who is your favourite underwear brand? & why are we? 

We'd like for it to be Reer Endz so we're giving it our best shot
